Requirements
- Pass a background check.
- Attend registration and 100% of scheduled classes.
- Complete the training in person.
- Possess a minimum of a 10th-grade education.
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Maintain confidentiality of resident care information in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
- Effectively communicate necessary resident information to charge nurses, the director of nursing, and/or the administrator.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including dressing, grooming, and mobility.
- Support residents during meals, social activities, and appointments.
- Monitor resident wellbeing and report changes in condition.
- Follow individualized care plans to ensure quality care.
- Create a warm, respectful, and supportive environment for residents.
- Prepare resident rooms and ensure residents are comfortable and safe.
- Work collaboratively with the healthcare team.
Desired Qualifications
- CPR certification.
