- An active Texas Physical Therapist Assistant license in good standing is required.
- Strong clinical judgment and the ability to work independently in the field within PTA scope and under PT supervision are required.
- The ability to escalate changes in condition to the physical therapist, registered nurse, or medical doctor and document the rationale clearly is required.
- Strong communication and documentation skills are required.
- Reliable follow-through on treatment plans, visit cadence, and patient goals is required.

- The ability to carry and transport basic therapy equipment as needed is required.
- Competency in core home health physical therapist assistant scope is required, including transfers, gait training, balance and fall prevention, assistive device education, strengthening, functional mobility, home safety assessment and modification education, and patient/caregiver coaching with practical home programs.
- Deliver skilled physical therapist assistant visits in patients' homes under the supervising physical therapist's plan of care.
- Execute treatment plans focused on functional mobility and measurable progress, including gait and balance, transfers, strengthening, functional mobility, home safety, and fall prevention.
- Set and track objective progress within physical therapist assistant scope and communicate updates and concerns to the supervising physical therapist.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary care by escalating changes in condition, aligning on orders, and keeping the care team moving.
- Coach patients and caregivers on practical home programs.
- Document visits promptly and thoroughly.
- Prior home health experience is preferred.
- Electronic medical record experience is preferred.
- Deeper clinical experience with orthopedic or neurological populations is preferred.
- Strong organization and time-management skills are preferred.
