Construction Manager / Owner's Representative
About the job
- Previous experience as a construction manager, owner's representative, project manager, or similar role on commercial construction projects.
- Strong understanding of commercial construction means and methods, contracts, scheduling, and cost management.
- Ability to coordinate design teams, field leadership, clients, and trade partners across all phases of a project.
- Proficiency with project management software and scheduling tools.
- Ability to travel for extended periods and work in a dynamic, multi-project environment with changing priorities and deadlines.
- Represent both the general contractor and project owner throughout all phases of commercial construction.
- Oversee project planning, coordination, contract compliance, budget and schedule performance, and risk management to ensure safe, efficient execution aligned with owner expectations.
- Work with owners, design teams, project managers, superintendents, and trade partners to facilitate communication, resolve issues, and maintain alignment with project goals.
- Support decision-making, monitor field progress, champion quality standards, and ensure deliverables, documentation, and technical requirements are met.
- For experienced project managers, lead multiple projects, guide preconstruction efforts, support contract negotiations, mentor project teams, and contribute to continuous improvement in project delivery and client satisfaction.
- A bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related field is preferred; equivalent experience is considered.
- Strong communication, documentation, negotiation, and analytical skills.
