Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
- Previous experience as a construction manager, owner’s representative, project manager, or similar role for commercial construction projects.
- Strong understanding of commercial construction means and methods, contracts, scheduling, and cost management.
- Proven ability to coordinate design teams, field leadership, clients, and trade partners across all phases of a project.
- Proficiency with project management software and scheduling tools.
- Strong communication, documentation, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Ability to travel for extended periods and work in a dynamic, multi‑project environment with changing priorities and deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Represent the general contractor and the project owner throughout all phases of commercial construction.
- Oversee project planning, coordination, contract compliance, budget and schedule performance, and risk management to ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with owner expectations.
- Work closely with owners, design teams, project managers, superintendents, and trade partners to facilitate communication, resolve issues, and maintain a clear line of sight to project goals.
- Support decision‑making, monitor field progress, champion quality standards, and ensure that all deliverables, documentation, and technical requirements are met.
- Lead multiple projects for experienced project managers, guide preconstruction efforts, support contract negotiations, mentor project teams, and contribute to continuous improvement in project delivery and client satisfaction.
- Represent owner’s interests while facilitating smooth, well‑coordinated project execution.
