Requirements
  • The candidate must have extensive knowledge of the leave requirements and other legal protections afforded by the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and other applicable laws.
  • The candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • The candidate must have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • The candidate must have excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • The candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field is preferred.
  • Two years of human resources experience are preferred.
  • The candidate must be able to sit at a desk and work on a computer for prolonged periods.
Responsibilities
  • The Leave Administrator is responsible for responding to general leave inquiries.
  • The Leave Administrator initiates medical leave, including calling employees and assessing information to create an appropriate leave case.
  • The Leave Administrator explains basic medical leave information and what to expect during leave.
  • The Leave Administrator populates timesheets for employees out on medical leave.
  • The Leave Administrator processes forms and sends them to the carrier.
  • The Leave Administrator handles Unassigned and Assigned Zendesk tickets.
  • The Leave Administrator answers inquiries and questions related to basic information related to medical leaves in a timely manner.
  • The Leave Administrator provides and explains medical leave protocol and process to employees.
  • The Leave Administrator learns more about job protection and how it varies from division to division.
  • The Leave Administrator assists in managing all leave types including COVID, Military, Paid Family Leave, FMLA, ADA, STD.
  • The Leave Administrator maintains complete and accurate records of leave.
  • The Leave Administrator preserves confidentiality of employee medical documentation and files.
  • The Leave Administrator handles leave payments from carrier reconciliations.
  • The Leave Administrator compiles leave reports as needed.
  • The Leave Administrator provides back-up coverage to leave team members.
  • The Leave Administrator maintains knowledge of all applicable leave and accommodation laws including the FMLA, ADA, and state and local laws.
  • The Leave Administrator assists with special projects and other activities.
  • The Leave Administrator performs other related duties as assigned.
  • The Leave Administrator serves as the main point of contact for employees regarding leave inquiries and assistance.
  • The Leave Administrator provides clear guidance and support throughout the leave process.
  • The Leave Administrator maintains open communication channels, responds promptly to inquiries, and offers personalized assistance to address employee needs.
  • The Leave Administrator assists with managing records and correspondence regarding all leaves.
