Requirements
  • You must reside in Alberta to be eligible, due to travel insurance licensing requirements.
  • You must operate your own registered travel business or establish one as a condition of working independently in this role.
  • You are an experienced travel agent or have a combination of formal Tourism or related post-secondary education and hands-on experience in the travel or hospitality industry (e.g., car rental agent, airport staff, hotel manager, etc.).
  • You know and trust the AMA brand—and you share our commitment to doing the right thing for your clients and your community.
  • You are entrepreneurial at heart: confident running your own business, managing your own time, and staying motivated without needing constant direction.
  • You bring strong communication skills, proven sales ability, and a drive to build and grow your book of business.
Responsibilities
  • Help individuals plan unforgettable trips by finding the right destinations, accommodations, and travel options that suit their needs and budgets.
  • Provide personalized travel consultations and manage client travel reservations from start to finish.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and industry partners.
  • Strive to get the best value for your clients through tour operators, airlines, hotels, car rental agencies, and more.
  • Deliver outstanding service before, during, and after each client’s trip.
