Mechanical Engineer

Title:Mechanical Engineer

Location:Sunnyvale, CA (100% In Office)

As a Mechanical Engineer you will play a crucial role in designing, documenting, and supporting the production of GPS related mechanical enclosures and accessories. Your designs will need to meet stringent requirements for electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and ingress protection (IPXX) sealing. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that your designs are both innovative and manufacturable.

What Skills & Experience You Should Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

• Experience in mechanical design, preferably with enclosures.

• Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar.

• Strong understanding of electromagnetic shielding and ingress protection (IPXX) sealing principles.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

• Experience with documenting designs and supporting them through production.

What You Will Do:

• Design mechanical enclosures that meet EMC and IP sealing requirements.

• Create detailed documentation for designs, including CAD models, drawings, and specifications.

• Support the production process by providing design insights and resolving any issues that arise.

• Collaborate with other engineering teams, production staff, and suppliers to ensure designs are feasible and cost-effective.

• Conduct design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of design processes.
