- Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.
- Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant on the Georgia Registry, or a Certified Medical Assistant awarded by the American Association of Medical Assistants, or a Registered Medical Assistant awarded by the American Medical Technologists, or a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant awarded by the National Healthcareer Association.
- Must have one year of patient care experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant, Patient Care Technician, Military Medic, Emergency Department Technician, or other relevant acute, direct patient care role.
- Provide nursing assistance and patient care for the comfort, safety, and personal needs of patients.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living.
- Perform procedures for patients’ physical hygiene and comfort.
- Perform duties within a unit-based, self-directed patient care team while sharing tasks with licensed and non-licensed team members.
- Visual color acuity, depending on the role in specific units.
