The NPI Sourcing Manager will be responsible for managing and driving sourcing activities related to the introduction of new products and ongoing engineering changes. Reporting directly to the Senior Director of Supply chain, this role involves collaborating closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, product management, supply chain, and suppliers to ensure that new products are launched on time, within budget, and meet quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sourcing, supplier management, and product development with the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with low volume, customized, high mixed products. Additionally, you must be a strategic thinker and be able to see the big picture. To be successful in this role you must have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, be able to prioritize multiple deliverables, and be able to work independently as well as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:
Sourcing Strategy Development:
Develop and implement sourcing strategies for new product introductions (NPI) that align with company objectives and timelines.
Identify and qualify potential suppliers based on technical capabilities, cost, quality, and capacity.
Collaborate with engineering and product management teams to understand product requirements and specifications.
Supplier Management:
Identify early engagement plans with the R&D and Commodity team to ensure alignment with NPI goals and objectives.
Work with commodity managers to negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to secure favorable conditions for the company.
Supplier and Supply readiness management to meet program milestones.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with engineering, product management, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure successful product launches.
Participate in design reviews by providing input on manufacturability, cost, and supplier capabilities.
Facilitate communication between internal teams and suppliers to resolve issues and ensure timely delivery of components.
Collaborate with the program and commodity teams to prioritize work and level of effort.
Supply Chain / Supplier Risk Management:
Identify potential risks in the NPI process including timeline delays, supply chain disruptions, quality issues, and cost overruns.
Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to ensure successful product launches.
Monitor and report on NPI project status, highlighting risks and recommending corrective actions.
Cost Management:
Develop and manage budgets for NPI sourcing activities, review cost estimation and cost targets with program teams and commodity teams and meet cost targets..
Work with commodity teams and suppliers to identify cost reduction opportunities without compromising quality or delivery timelines.
Establish Processes and Improvement for NPI Sourcing.
Continue to build standard working processes and templates for supply chain teams and make improvements recommendations to program and other stakeholders
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred but not required
5+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, with a focus on new product development.
Strong knowledge of sourcing strategies, supplier management, and contract negotiation.
Experience working with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and project management skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Experience in manufacturing or engineering environments is preferred.
Familiarity with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies preferred
Travel and onsite
Ability to travel up to 15-20% of the time
Be able to operate onsite 4 days a week
