Requirements
  • Earned doctorate in Kinesiology, Exercise Physiology, or a related area by August 16, 2027; ABD applicants may be considered but must complete the terminal degree by the start date.
Responsibilities
  • Teach up to an equivalent of 12 credits per semester or 24 credits per year in the area of expertise.
  • Advise undergraduate and graduate students within the department.
  • Engage in scholarly activities through collaboration with students and other faculty members within and outside the department.
  • Provide service to the department, college, university, profession, and community.
Desired Qualifications
  • Successful college or university teaching experience at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
  • Evidence of professional and scholarly activity and commitment to student/faculty research at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
  • Ability to teach core program courses and/or courses serving multiple department programs.
  • Experience supervising clinical students, if applicable.
  • Experience working in clinical, commercial, worksite, and/or community health or fitness settings.
  • Professional certification through nationally recognized organizations such as ACSM, NSCA, or NASM.
  • Demonstrated commitment to supporting and enhancing the diversity and cultural and global awareness of students, faculty, and staff.
