About the job
- Completed secondary school with certificate, or technical high school education.
- A current Federal Driver's License Type B or E issued by SICT/SCT.
- At least 3 to 5 years of verifiable experience operating a tractor-trailer or fifth-wheel trailer.
- Solid experience operating 10-, 13-, or 18-speed manual transmissions (Eaton Fuller) and/or automated transmissions.
- Verified experience with yard movements, maneuvers in confined spaces, and highway driving.
- Practical knowledge of C-TPAT (Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism) and OEA (Authorized Economic Operator) supply-chain security guidelines.
- Proficiency in the 17-point systematic inspection procedure for tractors and containers.
- Knowledge of SCT/SICT regulations for weights and dimensions (NOM-012-SCT), vehicle mechanical conditions (NOM-068-SCT), and driving and rest times (NOM-087-SCT).
- Certification or training in defensive driving techniques, road safety, and accident prevention.
- Basic ability to use onboard telemetry systems, GPS, and mobile logistics applications.
- Commitment to safety and strict adherence to rules and procedures.

- Ability to respond to and resolve situations arising during a route.
