Requirements
  • Experience working with children ages 2–5 years for soccer coaching, or ages 6–14 years in girls soccer for youth coaching.
  • Availability on weekday evenings between 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. and/or weekends between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.
  • Ability to coach soccer skills and games with young children for more than two hours while being physically fit.
  • Availability to work through the Summer and Winter seasons.
  • Passion for working with and engaging young children.
  • Reliability and professionalism.
  • An energetic, enthusiastic, and outgoing personality for interacting with children, parents, and coworkers.
  • Ability to be playful, fun, and imaginative with children.
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with children and delivering feedback to parents.
Responsibilities
  • Coach soccer skills and games for young children.
  • Work with children ages 2–5 years in soccer coaching programs and ages 6–14 years in girls soccer programs.
  • Engage young children and build the girls soccer program.
  • Interact with children, parents, and coworkers.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience working with children ages 2–6 years.
  • Experience coaching both toddler and youth age groups.
  • Experience with young-child sports organizations such as SportBall, City Camps, or Pedalheads.
  • Experience in soccer environments such as Little Kickers, Timbits Soccer, or house leagues.
  • Coaching certification such as Active Start, FUNdamentals, or Learn to Train.
