UW Medical Center-Montlake Environmental Services has multiple employment opportunities for Evening Hospital Custodians.
WORK SCHEDULE
100% FTE (40 hours per week)
Evening shift, (3:00pm - 11:00pm) - Rotating every other weekend.
POSITION HIGHTLIGHTS
Maintaining cleanliness and care of facilities in inpatient and non-patient areas and administrative offices as assigned
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Cleans and disinfects all furniture, fixtures, and equipment according to procedure
Removes and properly handles soiled linen; disinfects and remakes beds in patient rooms; dust and wet mops hard floors with disinfectant
Performs bloodborne pathogen and chemical spill containment and clean-up according to procedure
Strips, cleans, buffs, and applies finish to floors. Uses high speed floor buffers, polishers, and automated floors scrubbers
Performs in between case cleaning and terminal cleaning of surgical, obstetrical, and invasive procedure rooms including flood mopping and disinfecting according to procedure
Vacuums and spot clean carpets; operates automated carpet shampooers and extractors
Performs cleaning and related activities in areas within a reasonable distance outside of the facility using hand-operated tools or small power equipment to remove snow or debris, and sweep sidewalks or stairs
Complies with safety policies and procedures and medical center emergency and disaster procedures

Compensation, Benefits and Position Details
Pay Range Minimum:
$21.63 hourly
Pay Range Maximum:
$29.99 hourly
Other Compensation:
Evening Differential Pay $1.75 per hour
Weekend Differential Pay $2.00 per hour
