Requirements
  • A current and unrestricted Registered Nurse license in the state where the applicant is applying is required.
  • Experience in residential nursing is preferred but not required.
  • The ability to make sound decisions based on analysis, wisdom, experience, and judgment is required.
  • A compassionate, patient-first approach to delivering care is required.
  • Cultural competency and sensitivity to patients’ unique experiences and backgrounds are required.
  • The ability to multitask and remain calm and organized under pressure or in stressful situations is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years old.
  • Applicants must comply with OSHA, HIPAA, medical protocols, infection-control requirements, and applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
Responsibilities
  • Provide on-site nursing and attendant care to adolescents and/or young adults in treatment.
  • Complete client health screenings and provide direct care and nursing services as needed, including monitoring chronic health conditions.
  • Evaluate medical complaints and concerns from residents during on-site hours and relay information to the appropriate nurse practitioner or medical doctor.
  • Participate as a member of patients’ multidisciplinary treatment teams.
  • Administer medications and order medication refills.
