Requirements
  • Five (5) years of military experience reflecting supervision or management of unit training, organizational organic equipment, unit logistics, and fiscal responsibility.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of recent experience working with law enforcement organizations.
  • Capability of obtaining and maintaining a Top Secret clearance.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software, web editing tools, and database management.
  • Capability of obtaining and maintaining a valid U.S. driver's license.
Responsibilities
  • Provide Personnel Recovery Subject Matter Experts to support the Federal Law Enforcement Agency's Personnel Recovery Program and train with a one (1) day training regimen pertaining to Academic Resistance Laboratory Training.
  • Conduct biannual Backcountry Skills Week training courses and develop a course syllabus for anticipated future ten (10) day Personnel Recovery Emergency Preparedness (PREP)/Foreign Affairs Counter Threat (FACT) courses.
  • Suggest new policies and procedures, conduct inter-agency coordination, and provide training and operational support to agency personnel that could be isolated or detained by terrorist or criminal elements while deployed OCONUS.
  • Provide training to Agency Personnel, Task Force Officers, the Agency’s Emergency Support Function (ESF-13), Other Government Agencies (OGAs), and foreign host nation counterparts.
  • Familiar with Department of State Smith Training and High Threat Security Overseas Seminar (HTSOS), Serving Aboard for Families & Employees (SAFE), Foreign Affairs Counter Threat (FACT), and Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) National Incident Management System (NIMS).
  • Provide training and recommend necessary information to be included in interagency Memoranda of Agreements (MOAs)/Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) required to ensure personnel are incorporated into the existing Personnel Recovery infrastructure within the DoD, DoS, and OGAs.
  • Provide training and logistical support for the agency’s Office of Training (TR) and deploy assistance in both CONUS and OCONUS training deployments.
  • Develop and submit recommendations to improve system integration in support of TR operations.
  • Assist with logistics, accountability, control, and maintenance of operationally-related equipment, ammunition, supplies, and training functions.
  • Be efficient in utilizing Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Word to develop training, logistical and deployment calendars, schedules, and tracking material.
  • Be familiar with and proficient in the usage and management of information in the DEALS System.
  • Gather, write, edit, and proof content for TR requirements; develop a full range of training materials in support of operational capabilities and interoperability with OGAs (including unclassified and classified communications and equipment).
  • Communicate and develop relationships with equipment providers’ Subject Matter Experts to solicit updated information and best practices.
