Requirements
  • Graduate of a registered approved Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Completion of required state and national certification programs.
  • Current licensure and registration in Delaware, board certification as a Nurse Practitioner, and a Drug Enforcement Administration license.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of basic computer programs.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding patients and team members.
  • Ability to withstand crisis situations.
  • Basic Life Support certification.
Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive patient care, including assessment, treatment planning and implementation, counseling, and patient and family education.
  • Collect and record patient data comprehensively, accurately, and systematically.
  • Analyze patient data and formulate individualized plans of care based on patient assessment and needs.
  • Provide primary care directly on a mobile health clinic, emphasizing accessibility, health promotion, illness prevention, and continuity of care.
  • Complete physical examinations and perform or order appropriate diagnostic tests.
  • Manage common acute and chronic illnesses, including minor trauma, episodic problems, and common chronic disorders.
  • Administer vaccines according to accepted guidelines and prescribe medications as appropriate.
  • Prescribe Medication-Assisted Treatment, including buprenorphine.
  • Maintain knowledge of clinical protocols and best-practice guidelines.
  • Document all patient encounters completely and in a timely manner.
  • Adhere to Beebe Healthcare clinical practice guidelines and applicable clinical and regulatory standards.
  • Participate in performance-improvement activities through chart audits and the development and implementation of practice standards.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to provide treatment, follow-up, and evaluation of the plan of care.
  • Complete required documentation for referrals and consultations.
  • Return patient telephone calls within an appropriate time frame based on patient needs.
  • Promote awareness, enrollment, and utilization of the Mobile Health Clinic among community partners and staff.
  • Supervise the clinical practice of medical, physician assistant, and nurse practitioner students and residents as appropriate.
  • Act as a resource to staff and the community regarding current healthcare trends and specific health issues.
  • Remain in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and accrediting standards.
  • Adhere to National Patient Safety Goals and Beebe Healthcare policies and procedures.
Desired Qualifications
  • Knowledge of psychiatric and addiction disorders.
  • Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner qualification.
  • At least one year of experience in addiction medicine.
  • Willingness to work with students, interns, and residents.
