The Scheduler is responsible for executing all scheduling activities such as monitoring, managing, and updating for assigned projects, programs, or areas of responsibility, with a focus on reporting variance analysis. The scheduler will work with various departments and stakeholders to obtain schedule data and provide actionable reports.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the development and maintenance of CPM project schedules
- Analyze project schedules and provide reporting as required which includes earned value metrics
- Assist with the preparation and presentation of results, alternatives, and/or recommendations to support business decisions, manage project costs and schedules, and mitigate potential risks to assigned projects and/or programs.
- Involve and support change control and contract negotiation/claim management.
- Support the implementation, analysis, and reporting of performance using established metrics
- Assist with the preparation and development of project controls data request responses and work papers in supporting corporate/OU governance (e.g. Business Oversight Team and Capital Review Team), internal/external audits, General Rate Cases, and any pertinent regulatory filings.
Required Qualifications & Education
- Graduation from a recognized college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management OR
- Graduation from a recognized college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in any course, but with additional two (2) years of experience in Construction Scheduling to compensate for the required education.
- Minimum of five (5) years full time paid professional experience in Scheduling on power utility projects (substation, transmission, distribution.)
- Proficiency in Primavera Latest Version and MS Office Suite
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Superior organizational and planning skills
- Ability to build efficient working relationships with project teams and department staff
