Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field (required).
  • Master’s degree or PMP certification (preferred).
  • 10+ years of progressively responsible project management experience, including both public and private capital projects.
  • Proven experience in business development and client relations.
  • Prior experience working for or with an Owner’s Project Manager (OPM) is highly desired.
  • Advanced proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Procore, Primavera P6).
  • Strong skills in project financials, risk management, schedule analysis, and contract interpretation.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently with a high degree of accountability.
Responsibilities
  • Lead large-scale capital projects and/or multi-project programs from planning through design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and closeout.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders, acting as PMA’s representative in meetings, presentations, and strategic discussions.
  • Coordinate with internal project staff, consultants, contractors, and client personnel to maintain alignment with scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards.
  • Cultivate and maintain client relationships to support business development and identify new project opportunities in Western Massachusetts.
  • Collaborate with PMA leadership on proposal strategy, client retention efforts, and long-term regional expansion initiatives.
  • Define project scopes, KPIs, and stakeholder strategies.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, risk registers, and resource plans.
  • Conduct site visits, lead project meetings, generate meeting minutes, and track deliverables and action items.
  • Ensure QA/QC, regulatory compliance, and safety standards are met.
  • Mentor and oversee junior staff and project managers.
  • Contribute to internal PM best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assist in developing reports, presentations, and executive-level documentation.
  • Other duties as assigned.
