Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited school of dental hygiene.
  • An active Minnesota Dental Hygienist License.
  • Current CPR (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
  • Local anesthesia and nitrous oxide certification.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work under a signed Collaborative Agreement following state and company regulations.
  • Proficiency or willingness to learn Open Dental software, Microsoft Office, and other necessary systems.
  • A valid driver’s license based on clinic location and willingness to travel as needed.
Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive oral hygiene care, including prophylaxis, scaling, and root planing.
  • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care.
  • Assess and document patient conditions, collaborating with the dental team for optimal treatment plans.
  • Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide as permitted by state regulations.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using Open Dental and other dental software.
  • Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean, safe working environment.
  • Travel as needed to support community sites, including driving a company vehicle or personal transportation when necessary.
Desired Qualifications
  • Two to four years of clinical experience is preferred but not required.
  • Spanish proficiency is preferred based on clinic location.
