Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of experience handling complex liability claims.
  • A current Property and Casualty license or willingness to obtain one within 90 days.
  • Experience in claims, negotiation, and client advocacy.
  • Strong negotiation skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to build trusted partnerships and influence clients, Risk Advisors, Client Managers, carriers, legal counsel, and other stakeholders to achieve strategic claim outcomes while protecting client interests.
  • The role requires sedentary physical exertion in an office environment, occasional exertion of up to 10 pounds of force, repetitive wrist, hand, and finger movements, and close visual acuity for data analysis, computer use, transcription, and extensive reading.
Responsibilities
  • Build strong relationships with clients and understand their businesses, associated risks, and exposures.
  • Act as a liaison and advocate between clients and carrier partners.
  • Respond to client questions and concerns throughout the claim lifecycle.
  • Analyze policy language and coverage positions for claim denials or reservations of rights, identify avenues to seek coverage, and challenge coverage positions when appropriate.
  • Support clients through the carrier claim process and recommend post-claim management strategies.
  • Assist insureds with negotiating total-loss auto settlements.
  • Proactively manage property and casualty claims programs for assigned clients and meet service-plan deadlines.
  • Prepare and coordinate in-person and telephonic claims reviews with carriers, risk advisors, and clients.
  • Negotiate claim matters with adjusters, adjuster supervisors, and claims managers.
  • Identify and request reserve reductions from claims adjusters when appropriate.
  • Identify strategic claim-resolution strategies and partner with adjusters, legal counsel, and other stakeholders to implement action plans.
  • Partner with Risk Advisors, Client Managers, and clients to develop and execute claim strategies aligned with business objectives, risk-management priorities, and coverage intent.
  • Collaborate with carrier adjusters, claims managers, and underwriting partners to facilitate communication, address claim challenges, and drive favorable claim outcomes.
  • Provide claims expertise, coverage interpretation, and guidance on emerging claim trends and risk considerations to internal teams.
  • Lead and participate in claim review meetings to assess claim performance, identify concerns, and recommend proactive solutions.
  • Foster coordinated claim management, consistent communication, and strong relationships across internal and external stakeholder groups.
  • Influence stakeholders through advocacy, negotiation, and problem-solving to protect client interests and achieve equitable claim resolutions.
  • Conduct special claim-coverage research as needed.
  • Review clients with claims for adequate coverage and recommend changes to Client Managers or insureds.
  • Notify the Claims Team Lead, Risk Advisor, and Client Manager of large claims.
  • Communicate with carriers to develop special-handling instructions and improve communication among all parties.
  • Explain and recommend post-claim management strategies to internal and external clients and support them through the carrier claim process.
  • Record all activities in claims files within the agency management system.
  • Stay current on marketplace developments, product offerings, and evolving insurance consumer trends.
  • Provide mentorship to Claims Support Specialists and Claims Interns.

  • An AIC or other insurance designation.
