Requirements
  • A master's degree in Dance or a closely related field, such as dance education, choreography, or performing arts.
  • Ability to use Microsoft and Google office products.
  • Ability to work across in-person, hybrid, asynchronous online, and synchronous online instructional modalities.
  • Ability to use technology including Canvas, Starfish, Microsoft Office, and the Internet.
  • Ability to understand and follow all college policies and procedures.
  • Ability to perform frequent and continuous sitting or movement, continuous fine motor activities, and pushing and pulling of up to 20 pounds.
  • Applicants must submit an updated curriculum vitae or resume, a cover letter, and unofficial transcripts.
  • Applicants must be U.S. citizens or lawfully authorized to work in the United States.
Responsibilities
  • Deliver prepared, organized lectures and activities tailored to in-person and online formats to facilitate student mastery of course learning outcomes.
  • Develop and submit course syllabi for assigned courses, including required components and adapting them to the instructional modality.
  • Collaborate with department members and the Division Chair to develop and revise curriculum, select textbooks and equipment, create instructional materials, and ensure cohesive student assessment practices.
  • Establish and maintain an effective learning environment across assigned courses, including face-to-face, hybrid, asynchronous and synchronous online, dual credit, and Early College High School contexts.
  • Assess and communicate student proficiency in achieving course learning outcomes and document findings in formal assessment reports.
  • Use Canvas, Starfish, Microsoft Office, and the Internet for classroom, studio, and laboratory instruction.
  • Provide students with timely and accurate information and feedback about academic progress through quizzes, tests, homework, and projects.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
