Candidates should be prepared to work indoors and outdoors, including patios, pool areas, and on-course service, in Oregon Coast weather.
The schedule includes evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Responsibilities
Support the food and beverage manager and supervisor during daily shifts and help maintain smooth service during busy periods.
Greet guests, handle requests, and help resolve concerns professionally.
Learn and perform restaurant opening and closing routines, including setup, breakdown, cash handling, and securing the outlet.
Help track stock levels and supplies, assist with scheduling and shift coverage, and attend department meetings.
Learn the beverage selections and proper wine service.
Monitor service standards, food and beverage presentation, and cleanliness, and follow policies and safety procedures.

What You'll Do:
Help keep service running smoothly. You'll support the F&B Manager and Supervisor during daily shifts, pitching in wherever the team needs you when the dining room gets busy. You'll see firsthand how the people running a shift keep service flowing and standards high.
Take care of our guests. You'll greet guests, handle requests, and help sort out concerns with a calm, professional touch. Many of our guests have planned this trip for years, and how their meal goes is a big part of how they remember it.
Learn how a restaurant opens and closes. You'll learn the routines behind every shift: setup, breakdown, cash handling, and securing the outlet at the end of the night.
Get behind the scenes of operations. You'll help track stock levels and supplies, assist with scheduling and shift coverage, and sit in on department meetings. Bring your ideas. We're always looking for a better way to do things.
Learn our wine and beverage program. Bandon Dunes is known for its award-winning wine list. You'll learn about our selections, proper wine service, and how beverages help shape the guest experience.

A Few Things to Know:
This is a seasonal internship. It's a hands-on learning position. You'll report to our F&B Manager and F&B Supervisor and won't supervise other employees.
Restaurants don't keep banker's hours. Expect a flexible schedule that includes evenings, weekends, and holidays.
You'll be on the move. Expect to stand and walk for up to five hours at a time and lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and 30 lbs frequently. Most of the work is indoors, with some time on the patio, by the pool, and in on-course service, so be ready for Oregon Coast weather.
Food Handler card and OLCC certification. Don't have them yet? No problem. You'll get both within your first 30 days, and we'll help you through the process.
