Requirements
  • An Associate’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a related field, or three years of directly related full-time experience in lieu of the degree.
  • Two years of experience in the financial services industry performing teller duties.
  • Two years of customer service experience.
  • The ability to work effectively within established banking guidelines and procedures.
  • The ability to communicate company policies, programs, and systems clearly to customers and colleagues.
Responsibilities
  • Provide assistance across assigned branch-operation areas, including teller, new accounts, vault teller, safe deposit, and lending.
  • Assist customers in selecting accounts, products, and financial services offered by the Bank.
  • Present cross-sell opportunities using professional sales techniques.
  • Receive and process retail and commercial checking and savings deposits in accordance with banking policies and procedures.
  • Assist with opening and closing the vault and provide dual control when verifying cash and coin transactions involving the vault.
  • Assist in balancing vault currency and coin.
  • Order, manage, and balance vault and ATM currency and coin when responsible for those duties.
  • Make decisions regarding the opening of new deposit accounts.
  • Complete forms requiring customer signatures, accept initial deposits, and prepare documents and items for new-account processing.
  • Present customer funds to the teller for initial deposits, determine funds availability, and obtain a receipt for the customer.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
