Requirements
  • Strong understanding of server, storage, and networking hardware.
  • Familiarity with operating systems, basic networking concepts, and troubleshooting methodologies.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience working in data centers.
  • Willingness and ability to work the weekend night shift from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Friday through Sunday.
Responsibilities
  • Increase data center reliability and uptime by proactively identifying risks, executing infrastructure improvements, and contributing to incident-prevention initiatives.
  • Enhance operational efficiency through process optimization, automation opportunities, and improvements that reduce turnaround time for deployments, maintenance, or troubleshooting activities.
  • Rack, stack, install, configure, decommission, and replace servers, storage systems, and network equipment, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Perform hardware diagnostics and component-level replacements for drives, memory, power supplies, and network interface cards.
  • Ensure equipment is installed according to data center standards and best practices.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, operating system, application, and network connectivity issues.
  • Maintain accurate asset inventory records and system documentation.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience working in data center or mission-critical environments.
  • Familiarity with data center infrastructure management tools, ticketing systems such as ServiceNow, and monitoring platforms.
  • Relevant technical certifications, such as CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, or vendor hardware certifications.
