About the job
- Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, AI, or a related major, with a minor or concentration in one of these fields.
- Graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
- Must be enrolled in university during the semester following the internship and graduate within one year after the internship.
- For the Software/Application Engineering Track, school or work experience with NodeJS, Vue.js, HTML, Java, JavaScript, SQL, TypeScript, APEX, or Python is preferred, along with the ability to apply generative artificial intelligence to custom software solutions.
- For the Data Engineering Track, strong programming experience in Java, Python, R, and SQL is preferred, along with experience using application programming interfaces to extract data and applying large language models or machine learning algorithms.
- Cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher.
- For the Software/Application Engineering Track, help design, build, and maintain enterprise applications across the stack.
- Develop, test, and maintain highly interactive, responsive user interfaces.
- Build backend services, application programming interfaces, and microservices in Java using Spring Boot.
- Implement server-side logic, workflows, and data pipelines; optimize performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Own both front-end and back-end components end to end when working in the Full Stack area.
- For the Data Engineering Track, support the design and development of data, software, or technology solutions to answer scientific or business questions.
- Use technologies related to programming languages, data integration, data warehousing, data visualization, and data analysis.
- Help build, maintain, and optimize data infrastructure.
- Ensure data is collected, processed, and stored efficiently and securely.
- Integrate different data sources and create foundations for analytics and data science.
- Previous internship or related experience.
- A public code portfolio on GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket.
- Technical and business insight, analytical skills, and creative problem-solving abilities.

↑ 5%The European Commission has approved RINVOQ (upadacitinib) for treating active polyarticular juvenile idiopathic arthritis in patients aged two years and older who have not responded adequately to one or more disease-modifying anti-rheumatic drugs. AbbVie announced the approval includes a new oral solution formulation alongside the tablet form. The approval was based on the open-label Phase 1 SELECT-YOUTH study and adult rheumatoid arthritis data. In the study of 122 patients, 79.5% achieved 70% improvement in disease activity at week 48, whilst 43.4% achieved remission. No new safety risks were identified during the trial period. Juvenile idiopathic arthritis affects approximately 126,000 children in Europe. RINVOQ is now approved in the European Union for 11 indications across various immune-mediated inflammatory diseases.
ADARx Pharmaceuticals has priced its initial public offering of 21.875 million shares between $15.00 and $17.00 per share, according to an SEC filing. The San Diego-based late-clinical stage biotechnology company has applied to list on Nasdaq under the ticker "ADRX". AbbVie has agreed to purchase shares in a concurrent private placement that would give it approximately 4.9% ownership of ADARx's outstanding stock. Underwriters have a 30-day option to purchase up to 3.28 million additional shares. The company estimates net proceeds of approximately $397.1 million, or $445.9 million if underwriters exercise their option in full, assuming a $16.00 share price. Proceeds will fund clinical trial development and general corporate purposes.
AbbVie and Iambic Therapeutics have entered into a multi-year collaboration to accelerate AI-driven drug discovery in immunology, neuroscience, and oncology. The partnership will combine Iambic's molecular superintelligence platform with AbbVie's therapeutic expertise to develop small molecule therapies with first-in-class and best-in-class potential. The collaboration will utilise Enchant v3, Iambic's next-generation multimodal transformer model trained on over 6,000 molecular properties. This technology is designed to optimise candidate properties simultaneously, reducing drug discovery timelines whilst improving success rates. Under the agreement, Iambic will receive an upfront payment and is eligible for success-based milestone payments and tiered royalties on net sales from products generated through the collaboration.
