Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, is required.
  • At least 1 year of Commercial Healthcare Payments or Healthcare Revenue Cycle experience is required.
  • Maintain a valid driver's license and meet Commerce Bank's driving record criteria.
  • Maintain knowledge of competitor offerings and pricing, including new trends and developments in the industry.
  • Learn the complex sales process end to end and perform an advisory role within the healthcare industry.
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities across product and solution offerings and speak knowledgeably about competitive solutions.
  • Achieve defined sales goals.
  • Apply critical thinking, discretion, and sound judgment to solve problems efficiently and effectively.
  • Manage multiple priorities with organization and attention to detail.
  • Use Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook at an intermediate proficiency level.
  • Demonstrate written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Remain adaptable and resilient in varied situations.
Responsibilities
  • Sell new business for existing target markets across Integrated Receivables, Patient Financing, Online Bill Pay Solutions, and supporting services.
  • Serve the provider clinical target market and hospitals below 100 beds.
  • Practice Richardson Consultative Selling.
  • Perform Healthcare Payment Cycle Reviews.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Account Executive on market plans aligned with Payment Account Teams and Market Leadership.
  • Ensure sales cohesion between teams where verticals and specializations overlap.
  • Use Insight360 automation tools for pipeline management, tracking, and lead development and distribution.
  • Define and implement campaigns or incentives that drive desired behavior and results.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships with key decision-makers through sales calls, networking events, industry events, and written communication.
  • Provide accurate and detailed revenue forecasting and deliver consistent quarterly sales performance while exceeding expected revenue targets.
  • Work effectively with markets and implementation teams to transition customers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • At least 1 year of Salesforce and Richardson Sales Consulting experience is preferred.
  • CRCR Certification is preferred.

Commerce Bank acquires boutique investment bank Nolan & Associates to expand middle-market advisory services

Commerce Bank has agreed to acquire Nolan & Associates, a St Louis-based boutique investment banking firm founded in 1976. The acquisition will add investment banking capabilities to Commerce's commercial and wealth platforms, enhancing its ability to support middle-market clients during business transitions. Nolan provides sell-side, buy-side, and capital raise advisory services across industries including building products, transportation, healthcare, and manufacturing. Upon closing, the firm will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of Commerce Bank, retaining its employees and office. The deal includes Middle-Market Transactions, Inc., a FINRA-regulated entity through which Nolan delivers advisory services. Financial terms were not disclosed. The transaction requires regulatory approval and is subject to customary closing conditions. Commerce Bancshares holds $35.7 billion in assets and operates throughout the Midwest.
