Requirements
  • BS degree in mechanical, electrical or computer engineering
  • 5+ years of experience in validation testing for automotive, aerospace, high voltage industrial or related industries
  • Experience with requirements software such as JAMA
  • Experience with DC Fast Charger certification through UL and FCC
  • Experience with environmental testing for thermal, rain, snow, salt-fog, and grid tied electrical surge testing
  • Working Knowledge of High Voltage systems, Power Electronics, and DC Fast Charging
  • Proficiency on necessary test and measurement tools (Oscilloscope, Multimeters, Thermal DAQs)
  • Good organizational skills and ability to multi-task
  • Occasional domestic and international travel required
Responsibilities
  • Lead validation testing for next generation Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment for both consumer facing and commercial products
  • Coordinate with Systems, Product Management, Construction, Embedded and Cloud software teams on salability reviews
  • Provide updates and appropriate escalations for issues that arise from testing to the Product Development Team
  • Collaborate with technical SMEs on detailed technical implementations of mechanical, electrical, software (embedded and cloud) and quality/reliability requirements
  • Develop design verification and validation tests and reports (DVP&R) and track version control
  • Collaborate on system level DFMEA and collaborate with Systems lead and technical SMEs to refine
  • Ensure design maturity through characterizations test builds on prototype hardware
  • Lead a team of Test Engineers and Technicians to set up and execute tests and report out on results
  • Source and manage external testing partners for validation testing, UL certification, and FCC compliance
  • Work cross functionally with Hardware and Software teams to drive progress
