Job Overview

We are seeking a Cybersecurity professional to join our team. We are a rapidly growing company with a dynamic IT organization. We are seeking a versatile individual who can adapt to various roles and thrive in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be versatile, highly motivated, with a strong eagerness to learn and grow.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and maintain security solutions to protect networks, systems, and data from potential cyber threats
Monitor network traffic, logs, and alerts for suspicious activity and investigate security breaches.
Perform vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and risk analysis to identify and address weaknesses
Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and best practices in line with industry standards.
Collaborate with IT teams to ensure secure deployment and operation of software, hardware, and network infrastructure
Respond to and manage security incidents, conducting root cause analysis and implementing remediation strategies
Stay up-to-date with emerging cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigation techniques.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and frameworks (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001, NIST)
Conduct security awareness training for staff and promote a culture of cybersecurity across the organization

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Proven experience as a Cybersecurity Engineer or in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, standards, and best practices.
Experience with security tools such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, endpoint protection, and encryption technologies.
Proficiency in conducting risk assessments, vulnerability scanning, and penetration testing
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex security issues to non-technical stakeholders
Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, CISM, or CompTIA Security+ are a plus

Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with cloud security (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
Experience with scripting and automation (e.g., Python, PowerShell)
Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and secure software development
