Requirements
  • An associate license, or plans to obtain one soon, in Washington State, including Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate, Associate Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, or Licensed Clinical Psychologist.
  • One year of directly related work experience.
  • Residence in Washington State or concrete plans to relocate to Washington State.
  • Availability to provide counseling services during mid- to late-afternoon and evening hours and/or weekend days.
  • No history of enforcement on current or previous professional licenses and no potential conflict of interest in working at Thrive.
Responsibilities
  • Perform scheduled clinical counseling services for Thrive Counseling Center clients in compliance with applicable rules and regulations and Practice policies.
  • Maintain confidentiality and ethical standards in all work with clients, colleagues, and others.
  • Respond to client correspondence in a timely manner.
  • Complete records and reports for each client on time and in alignment with Practice policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrate strong case conceptualization.
  • Conduct counseling services professionally to maintain and increase the Practice's goodwill and reputation.
  • Provide a high level of client service.
  • Work closely with the supervisor and other Practice leaders to develop clinical services.
  • Demonstrate curiosity and compassion in communications and interactions.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience or interest in LGBTQ+-affirming work with teens, couples, or adults.
  • Experience or interest in trauma-informed work with clients of all ages.
  • Experience or interest working with children, teens, and families.
  • Experience or interest working with neurodivergent clients experiencing autism spectrum disorders, attention deficit disorder, executive functioning struggles, or related challenges.
  • Marriage and couples therapy specialization.
