Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree and a minimum of one year of work experience in a customer-service-focused field are required.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to interpret and explain information are required.

Responsibilities
  • Counsel students and community members on financial aid, billing, academic records, registration, and other enrollment services through in-person services, phone calls, chats, and email.
  • Answer questions and resolve complex issues related to financial aid, enrollment, academic records, billing, and payments using available tools, and make expert referrals to appropriate staff and resources.
  • Explain, educate, and inform students and families about financial aid, student accounts, billing, tuition-related processes, academic records, transcript and enrollment verification requests, online registration, new student orientation, self-service options, registration errors, system issues, and other university services and operations.
  • Support students in meeting their graduation goals by communicating with students, advisors, and administrators to troubleshoot registration and graduation barriers and provide timely solutions.
  • Provide general University information, referrals for campus resources, and assistance navigating and accessing information on the University website.
  • Participate as an active member of the Texas One Stop staff and on cross-functional committees as appropriate.
  • Develop and manage assigned office procedures, paperwork, and data integrity.
  • Coordinate proactive outreach efforts to improve student enrollment, retention, and graduation.
  • Complete timely follow-ups until issues are resolved or escalated appropriately according to procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • Work experience in one or more Texas One Stop functional areas, including Financial Aid, Student Accounts Receivable, Bursar, Registrar, Admissions, or Student Success Initiatives.
  • Proficiency in multiple languages such as Spanish and American Sign Language.
  • Knowledge of The University of Texas at Austin, including institutional and unit policies, procedures, and processes.
  • Experience and knowledge working with ServiceNow, InContact, QLess, and University of Texas at Austin legacy systems.
