Requirements
  • Three to five years of installation experience.
  • Strong knowledge of systems furniture is preferred.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and public speaking/presentation skills are required.
  • Highly organized and able to work as a self-starter.
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Must comply with installer requirements, including wearing the required uniform, being present for duty, and having drawings and tools.
Responsibilities
  • Manage the installation process.
  • Meet with the Project Manager before each installation to understand installation parameters, critical dates, milestones, and key personnel.
  • Pre-plan installation implementation, including man-hour utilization, reviewing drawings, identifying all product lines being installed, and communicating the implementation process to installation team leads.
  • Remain on-site for the duration of each installation.
  • Follow the installation plan, document changes to the original plan, and review changes with the Installation Manager.
  • Lead an installation walkthrough before dismissing the team from the jobsite.
  • Conduct a formal walkthrough with the Sedgwick Business Interiors Project Manager and client.
  • Document punch issues on drawings and punch-list forms and submit them electronically to the Project Manager.
  • Manage warehouse dock operations for loading products and ensuring installers arrive at their destinations on time.
  • Evaluate installation staff for compliance with installer requirements.
  • Enforce safety guidelines, principles, and practices.
  • Complete a job hazard analysis for each assigned project and review it with the assigned installation team.
  • Perform a Plan-Do-Check-Act evaluation at least once per week and review it with the Installation Manager or HMPS Lead.
  • Be accountable for the success or failure of each assigned project.
  • Model the expected conduct and standards for Sedgwick Business Interiors installers and subcontractors.
  • Complete an assigned quarterly focus area, such as training, truck/van maintenance, or safety practices and initiatives.
