French construction group Eiffage has acquired an 80% stake in Luxembourg's Baatz group through its subsidiary Eiffage Construction. Founded in 1938, Baatz employs 470 people and reported €142 million in revenue for 2025. The acquisition brings together Baatz's civil engineering, earthworks and construction operations with Eiffage Construction's existing Luxembourg activities. The combined entity will employ over 750 people and generate €200 million in annual revenue. Baatz's existing management will remain in place to ensure continuity of service. The deal strengthens Eiffage's presence in Luxembourg's construction market whilst supporting its circular economy approach and ecological transition goals.

At the third annual Pass Sécurité Awards, the motorway concession operator APRR recognized four partner companies for exemplary operations carried out on the APRR, AREA, and ADELAC networks. These awards highlight the companies' commitment to safety on highway construction sites. "This ceremony highlights the initiatives and commitments that contribute day after day to protecting those who work on our construction sites" explained Alexandre Claude, Director of Infrastructure and Concession Contracts at Eiffage's Motorway Concessions division in France, in his introduction to the third Pass Sécurité Awards, which took place on Thursday 19 March at AREA's headquarters in Jonage (Rhône). Created in 2022, the Pass Sécurité Awards reflect a strong commitment to advancing risk prevention on construction sites across the APRR, AREA and ADELAC networks. They rely on the involvement of all stakeholders in a project, from the project owner to the contractors, including the health and safety coordination team. The 2026 winners At the 2026 event, three main trophies (gold, silver and bronze) were awarded in recognition of strict adherence to the Safety Pass guidelines, along with a special jury prize highlighting innovation and best practice.
