Requirements
  • Completion of an accredited Registered Nurse academic program with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing.
  • Current Registered Nurse licensure in at least one United States state, territory, commonwealth, or the District of Columbia.
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification.
  • Two years of Medical-Surgical experience.
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above the shoulders during the work shift.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds from floor to waist.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
  • Ability to carry up to 40 pounds a reasonable distance.
  • Ability to push or pull with 30 pounds of force.
Responsibilities
  • Deliver safe care to assigned spinal cord-injured patients.
  • Document thorough skin assessments and complex wound dressing changes.
  • Communicate clearly with people of varied educational levels and ethnic backgrounds.
  • Work cooperatively as a member of a team in all assignments.
  • Participate in unit- and program-level quality improvement processes and initiatives, as well as customer service programs.
Desired Qualifications
  • Ventilator experience.
