Cruise is seeking to hire an experienced and motivated Sr. Business Analyst that will operate as the liaison between Marketing, Product and IT teams. This role is responsible for analysis, documenting functional and technical specifications, and empowering business users to use MarTech stack effectively. The ideal candidate will develop strong partnership with business owners, engineering teams and technology partners to drive initiatives, influence decisions and anticipate emerging needs.
This role is centralized within the Customer Technology (CustTech) team under the IT Enterprise Business Technology organization and will report directly to the Manager of CustTech. The CustTech team owns Cruise’s internal marketing technology platforms. We select, implement, and maintain the applications, platforms, and tools that enable Marketing, Customer Success, Risk and Commercial Operations teams to do their best work. We do this by building world class technical solutions that are prepared to scale, are developed on a common set of data, and are seamlessly integrated.
What you’ll be doing:

Drive planning, prioritization, design, development and deployment of new projects and system enhancements

Evaluate and address cross-functional and cross-system dependencies to attain optimal user experience and data integrity.

Responsible for understanding product requirements, creating and grooming user stories, and partnering with the Product and Development team to deliver excellent solutions

Provide functional support to Marketing team, including Digital and Marketing Communications, in their use of applications and tools such as Segment, Braze, Branch, MailChimp, etc.

Responsible for functional and technical analysis, support implementation, maintenance and improving the organization’s MarTech stack including marketing automation platform, customer data platforms, marketing analytics, etc.

Maintain familiarity with other business systems and platform technology capabilities in order to make recommendations for upstream/downstream integration or functionality intersection points

Collaborate with developers to test and verify that solutions will meet the business requirements. Work closely with the project team during user acceptance testing (UAT) for tracking issues through to resolution and securing end user acceptance sign-off

Monitors key metrics / KPIs and targets, developing plans to achieve those targets and proactively communicating progress to a variety of partners to ensure alignment with Marketing objectives.

Partner with Product, Business and IT team members to define, plan, and execute simple to complex projects, in addition to ongoing delivery of enhancements and fixes.

Effectively communicate complex business problems and solutions both verbally and in writing to technical and non-technical audiences

Document processes on Cruise’s internal wiki, create job-aids for users, and deliver technical training when needed

Act as a source of information on trends and innovation in Marketing Automation and Technology, bringing new insights to the team for consideration.
What you must have:

Bachelor’s Degree degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Business Technology, Computer Science or related field/equivalent experience
-
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a Marketing Operations, Marketing Technology, or related discipline managing interactive tools and services required
-
5+ years’ experience in IT or Technical business function as an analyst
-
3+ years of experience with CRM, Marketing Automation, CDPs, and/or Campaign Management platforms (e.g., Segment, Braze, Branch, Salesforce Sales/Service Cloud, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, SendGrid, etc.)

Understanding of integration patterns including web hooks, APIs, databases

Experience in Agile methodology (sprint planning, backlog prioritization, defining acceptance criteria, etc.) and tools such as JIRA, Rally
-
Demonstrated ability to pull reports, manipulate and analyze data from disparate sources, extract valuable insights, and using data visualization tools such as Looker, Power BI, Tableau, etc.

Ability to manage high volume of requests from multiple customers in a timely, accurate and efficient manner and prioritize with minimal supervision

Experience working with cross-functional teams

Highly skilled at problem solving and critical thinking

Excellent communication and negotiation skills as you work with the business to set and maintain priorities

The salary range for this position is $129,100 - 189,700. Compensation will vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. You may also be offered a bonus, restricted stock units, and benefits. These ranges are subject to change.
