About the job
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- One to three years of accounting experience or an equivalent combination of education and training is required.
- Satisfactory completion of introductory accounting courses is required.
- Basic knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles is required.
- The ability to handle confidential information professionally is required.
- Punctual and consistent attendance, with the ability to work overtime, nights, and weekends when needed, is required.
- The ability to read, speak, and write in English is required.
- Invoice customers from the transportation management system and input invoices into the enterprise resource planning system.
- Input intercompany charges.
- Assist with all aspects of accounting operations.
- Assist with research and filing.
- Reconcile accounts and report discrepancies.
- Support the logistics, operations, and accounting teams as needed.
- Perform special research and general ledger projects as required.
- Prepare and complete reports and projects on an ad hoc basis.
- Work effectively and efficiently with cross-functional departments, including sales, operations, logistics, shipping, and receiving.
- An associate or bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and a desire to assume new responsibilities are preferred.
- The ability to work proactively, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively is preferred.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with responsive feedback, are preferred.
