About the job

Requirements
  • At least 4 years of technical experience, ideally including experience in an AI or analytics practice at a consulting firm or in a forward-deployed or solutions engineering role.
  • Experience building AI-powered tools or workflows used by real people, including prompt engineering, retrieval, agents, and evaluations.
  • Ability to explain how a large language model works to nontechnical audiences in an accessible way.
  • Ability to communicate technical guidance to clients, address skeptical executives, and explain when a proposed idea will not work.
  • Willingness to participate in calls and in-person meetings as a substantial part of the job.
Responsibilities
  • Partner with Product on defined projects and take responsibility for implementation, including building AI-powered tools, applications, scripts, and integrations; making technical decisions; and owning debugging, testing, deployment, and iteration.
  • Connect large language models, application programming interfaces, and business data to solve workflow problems; evaluate outputs against real examples, handle errors and edge cases, and improve reliability based on use.

  • Give nontechnical operators practical advice, walk them through tools, demonstrate approaches using relevant examples, and help them use artificial intelligence effectively and check its work.
  • Understand prospects’ workflows and provide technical guidance; build prototypes, scripts, or lightweight tools using relevant sample data and documents when follow-up calls for a working example.
  • Document work, reuse components where appropriate, and communicate technical constraints and implementation tradeoffs to Product and Core Engineering.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in an AI or analytics practice at a consulting firm such as QuantumBlack, BCG X, Bain Vector, or Accenture, or in a forward-deployed or solutions engineering role.

About the company

Coverage.com is an online insurance comparison marketplace that helps consumers shop for auto, home, condo, and renters coverage rather than underwriting policies itself. Visitors answer a few questions about their needs and receive tailored options from a range of partner insurance carriers, and can schedule consultations with licensed agents to complete a purchase. A Red Ventures company, it earns revenue through advertising and affiliate compensation from the insurers it features, which can influence how products are displayed. What sets Coverage.com apart is its role as an independent comparison platform that presents multiple carriers side by side, pairing self-service quoting tools with access to agents rather than selling a single company's products. The goal is to make buying insurance simpler and more transparent by helping shoppers weigh options and find coverage suited to their situation.

  • QuinStreet said August 6, 2026 results were record fiscal 2026, signaling strong marketplace execution.
  • Coverage.com's 2026 site monetizes ads and affiliates, diversifying revenue beyond lead commissions.

What critics are saying

  • Google traffic shifts can starve the lead funnel and crush quote volume quickly.
  • QuinStreet's Insurance.com dominance pressures Coverage.com into commoditized price-comparison battles every quarter.
  • Carrier underwriting pullbacks or affiliate changes can erase commissions and force costly traffic buys.

What makes Coverage.com unique

  • QuinStreet powers Coverage.com with carrier integrations and licensed agency partnerships in 2026.
  • Coverage.com spans home, condo, renters, and auto quotes across all 50 states.
  • Its performance-marketing model routes searchers into comparison funnels, not a single insurer brand.
