  • A master’s degree is required.
  • The clinician must be a Licensed Psychologist, Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, or equivalent in California.
  • The clinician must have proficiency in treatment modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy, exposure and response prevention, and acceptance and commitment therapy; motivational interviewing is a plus.
  • The clinician must navigate complex cases in a group setting and use group dynamics collaboratively to adjust the treatment milieu.
  • The clinician must accept clinical feedback during group consultation and apply it to program skills.
  • The clinician must raise disagreements directly and promptly with the person involved, offering a specific proposal rather than allowing concerns to accumulate or escalating first.
  • The clinician must have a confidential, private remote workspace and reliable internet access.
  • The clinician must be comfortable and efficient using technology to communicate.
  • The clinician must be able to work evening shifts and handle high-stress group situations, including risk assessment, selecting interventions and strategies, and follow-up.
  • The clinician must be able to work independently and as part of a virtual team, and adapt to shifting roles, responsibilities, and expectations.
  • The clinician must maintain strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities and provide empathetic support to patients experiencing significant avoidance and resistance.
Responsibilities
  • Conduct virtual evaluations for internal and external candidates for Intensive services.
  • Treat high-acuity OCD as the primary presentation, including common co-occurring depression, anxiety, trauma, and body-focused repetitive behaviors, using cognitive behavioral therapy, exposure and response prevention, acceptance and commitment therapy, habit reversal training, motivational interviewing, and prolonged exposure.
  • Recognize behavioral and psychological or emotional stress reactions, including avoidance, aggression, passivity, hyperarousal, intrusive memories, and related presentations.
  • Provide individual and group therapy virtually using a team approach to clinical and administrative functions.
  • Provide ongoing case management and continuity of care among members, clinicians, external providers, community agencies, and support systems.
  • Assess safety concerns and risk on an ongoing basis and escalate according to protocol.
  • Support members’ engagement and adherence through check-ins, motivational strategies, and consistent communication.
  • Adjust treatment at the session level, including changes to exposure hierarchies.
  • Redirect groups and manage treatment-interfering behavior in the moment.
  • Conduct initial risk assessments and safety planning within protocol.
  • Coordinate routinely with outside providers and community agencies.
  • Support aftercare and discharge planning within program guidelines.
  • Maintain an assigned caseload for members’ individual and family therapy while they are in the program.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans using evidence-based practices.
  • Provide individual, group, multifamily group, and family therapy sessions.
  • Maintain strategic relationships with community therapists and local agencies to support referrals and program partnerships.
  • Collaborate across clinical, operations, and leadership departments to maintain clinical excellence, communicate program needs, and support workflow efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and track program outcomes, including electronic health records, metrics, key performance indicators, workflow updates, and improvement feedback.
  • Maintain member records and comply with ethical and legal standards.
  • Complete a cross-license application as needed for program expansion.
  • Work a 40-hour week, complete 25 hours of direct clinical work weekly, attend two hours of weekly group clinical consultation, and attend the training program.
  • Allocate 25 weekly clinical hours between 15 hours of intensive outpatient program services and 10 hours of outpatient therapy. Intensive outpatient duties include facilitating intensive groups, conducting admission assessments, individual sessions, supported exposure and response prevention, prescreening calls, and family sessions. The outpatient portion is scheduled at 12 hours per week for utilization purposes; the combined clinical workload remains 25 hours per week. The allocation depends on program census, is reviewed monthly, and clinicians may move between functions during the same day.
  • Work four hours of nights and weekends, compared with the 10 hours normally required in outpatient.
Desired Qualifications
  • A Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist license is preferred.
  • At least two years of experience with group curriculum, facilitation, and therapeutic milieu skills is preferred.
  • At least two years of experience in higher levels of care, including intensive outpatient, partial hospitalization, residential, or inpatient models, is preferred.
  • At least three years of experience with a wide range of evidence-based interventions is preferred.
  • Motivational interviewing experience is a plus.

NOCD launches nationwide virtual intensive OCD therapy programme with AI-enabled platform

NOCD announced it will make intensive OCD treatment available nationwide through its virtual intensive outpatient programme (IOP). The programme allows members to receive three hours of structured treatment per day, four days per week, combining group and individual exposure and response prevention therapy from home. The company named a leadership team to scale the programme nationally. David Cohn will serve as general manager of intensive therapy programmes, Patrick McGrath as chief clinical officer, and Jamie Feusner as chief medical officer. The IOP currently serves members in Colorado, Montana, Michigan, and Texas, with expansion underway to six additional states. The programme accepts private pay, with in-network insurance coverage expanding through existing health plan partnerships. NOCD operates on the Noto platform, which powers a network of over 1,200 specialty-trained therapists delivering more than one million OCD therapy sessions per year.

Nocd Educates Record Number Of People During 2022 Ocd Awareness Month

CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Today NOCD, the #1 provider for the treatment of obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), announced the results of its second annual OCD Awareness Month, a one-month expansion of the International OCD Foundation’s (IOCDF) annual #OCDWeek. This year the company raised the bar on elevating OCD awareness by massively expanding the number and type of activities held on the ground and online. NOCD produced a total of 70 events during OCD Awareness Month that reached, engaged, or educated over 3.6 million people. Every activity was designed to increase the understanding of OCD among the public, providers, and payers to encourage delivery of effective care that can improve clinical outcomes, while also reducing the cost of care for those in need. Today over 180 million people worldwide are affected by OCD. But many aren’t receiving effective therapy due to misdiagnosis, inappropriate treatment, or a simple lack of awareness among therapists, health plans, and families about novel therapeutic approaches (such as ERP therapy) that can bring relief to their patients, members, and loved ones
