About the job

Requirements
  • Currently sell data, artificial intelligence, cloud, or infrastructure platforms into financial services at a company where that motion is current.
  • Own a named-account book in financial services and self-generate pipeline rather than rely on inbound or inherited relationships.
  • Have genuine 0-to-1 or category-creation experience selling something new into an industry without an established category.
  • Be technically fluent enough to discuss architecture, data, and artificial intelligence governance without a sales engineer.
  • Have approximately 7 or more years of quota-carrying enterprise technology sales experience as a rough guide, with accomplishment weighted more heavily than tenure.
  • Demonstrate a track record of originating and closing complex enterprise technology deals with strong velocity and self-directed pipeline generation.
  • Pair sales speed and category-creation instincts with fluency in the risk, security, compliance, procurement, and buying processes of regulated financial institutions.
  • Explain the mechanics of bank vendor-risk assessment, information-security review, budget control, procurement, and approval processes in specific terms.
  • Be able to personally originate, negotiate, and close enterprise platform deals from cold.
  • Be able to navigate regulated procurement, information security, regulatory, legal, and compliance requirements.
Responsibilities
  • Own a quota and personally lead the pursuit and closing of $10 million or more platform usage commitments with larger U.S. banks.
  • Run the full sales cycle, including prospecting, pipeline development, discovery, technical evaluation, security and procurement review, commercial negotiation, and closing.
  • Maintain an accurate forecast and inspect the pipeline regularly.
  • Generate qualified pipeline through outbound activity, executive briefings, partner channels, events, and targeted content.
  • Create account plans with named economic buyers, internal champions, compelling events, and mutual close plans.
  • Translate each deal into reusable enterprise go-to-market assets, including ideal customer profile and account segmentation, qualification criteria, discovery frameworks, objection libraries, return-on-investment models, security and compliance response templates, and competitive playbooks.
  • Partner with the chief executive officer and Product on pricing, packaging, and positioning, and bring the institutional buyer perspective into product development.
  • Help establish forecasting cadence, pipeline-review rhythm, and deal-stage definitions.
  • Expand closed platform deployments across additional divisions, use cases, and integrations with Customer Success and Product.
  • Build an early customer reference base.
  • Drive information-security, regulatory, legal, and procurement processes in parallel with commercial negotiations.
  • Coordinate Legal, Security, and Compliance internally to clear approvals on initial submission where possible.
  • Build relationships across risk, technology, and business-line stakeholders so no single gatekeeper can stall a deal.
  • Move stalled or non-viable opportunities to a clear decision instead of allowing them to drift through non-converting workshops or pilots.
  • Represent Monstro with senior buyers through executive briefings, industry forums, selective public speaking, and customer references.
  • As revenue and pipeline justify it, help recruit additional enterprise account executives and supporting roles, initially as a player-coach.
  • Build a qualified pipeline covering 20–30 named middle-market and regional accounts within six months.
  • Close multiple platform agreements representing more than $10 million in usage or credit commitments within twelve months.
  • Maintain forecast accuracy within plus or minus 10 percent on a rolling 90-day basis from month nine onward.
  • Achieve first-cycle clearance on at least 60 percent of information-security, regulatory, and procurement reviews through early alignment.
  • Secure peer-reference participation from at least 50 percent of closed customers within six months of go-live.
  • Generate meaningful upsell or cross-sell from at least one closed account within twelve months of initial signature.
  • Ship the first enterprise playbook, including the ideal customer profile, qualification framework, discovery model, objection library, pricing posture, and security response templates.
  • Influence at least two product enhancements through deal cycles and have them prioritized into the roadmap within 12–18 months.
Desired Qualifications
  • Direct banking experience is a plus.
  • Experience selling into large, complex, security-conscious institutions without a conventional playbook.
  • Experience turning a foothold deal into a much larger enterprise commitment.
  • Experience building a sales category, reference base, or repeatable enterprise motion from the ground up.
