Requirements
  • At least 5 years of experience with the UNIX operating system, preferably on Sun platforms.
  • At least 5 years of experience with Oracle, MySQL, DB2, or another relational database management system, including strong knowledge of SQL, procedural SQL extensions such as PL/SQL, HTML, UNIX shell scripting, SDE/Oracle data relations, and Oracle tuning tools.
  • At least 5 years of experience with Sun Solaris and Linux.
  • Strong knowledge of PHP, ASP, and ASP.NET for front-end user experience development, with specifically demonstrated and recent PHP coding experience.
  • Strong knowledge of HTML, DHTML, JavaScript, CSS, XML, XSL, and XSLT.
  • Knowledge of browser compatibility issues.
  • Experience with server automation, builds, and deployment.
  • Extensive experience in software analysis, design, development, and testing.
  • Experience with visual analytics tools such as Tableau and MicroStrategy.
  • Experience developing user-interface applications with HTML, HTML5, jQuery, AJAX, and AngularJS.
  • Very proficient use of Macromedia Dreamweaver.
  • Experience optimizing graphics for internet use.
  • Ability to independently and proactively design web tools.
  • Demonstrated data analysis skills, including forming SQL expressions and views to support development activities.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-changing environment with changing priorities and time constraints.
  • Effective problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
  • Implement, document, and maintain front-end web reporting applications under the guidance of a manager or senior analyst.
  • Develop front-end user interfaces by converting requirements into functional websites.
  • Support front-end web-related production and non-production deployments.
  • Participate in technical design discussions and planning meetings.
  • Provide weekly project status updates to the managing developer and/or manager.
  • Follow established coding and implementation standards and procedures.
  • Spend approximately 90% of time coding and 10% designing.
  • Design, document, develop, and test applications, including executing and documenting tests for functional and user-interface performance requirements.
  • Update system application data dictionaries, release notes, user guides, and related documentation for changed or newly created code.
  • Support a high-performance network reporting team in designing and developing network reporting tools.
  • Design and automate reporting for business-channel risk metrics using enterprise data warehouses and data-mining tools, and coordinate external data-source requirements with business stakeholders.
  • Design, develop, maintain, and communicate network tools.
  • Maintain databases and related programs thoroughly and efficiently.
