Requirements

Responsibilities
  • Ensure that products produced meet required quality standards while minimizing quality costs and maximizing customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure incoming materials meet required quality standards and identify, raise, and resolve quality issues to prevent customer impact.
  • Support new product introductions to ensure robust product builds.
  • Develop and implement best practices emphasizing defect prevention, variation and waste reduction, and continuous improvement.
  • Manage quality-related issues within the manufacturing team, including internal, supplier, customer, and customer warranty issues.
  • Identify root causes and implement permanent corrective actions for product quality issues.
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to resolve quality issues efficiently while maintaining quality and safety standards.
  • Carry out product and process audits.
  • Ensure control plans and associated documentation are implemented effectively and maintained.
  • Monitor and report quality-related key performance indicators, including scrap, rework levels, and pass rate.
  • Stop production when unacceptable goods or processes are being manufactured.
  • Ensure compliance with and assist adherence to the ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
  • Write product inspection procedures.
  • Assist with training on quality awareness.
  • Lead quality audits.
  • Monitor current and developing manufacturing and engineering trends related to product quality.
  • Perform appropriate reviews for quality control of work.
  • Support and lead process improvement activities.
  • Write reports and present progress at project meetings and to clients.
  • Produce written reports and presentations.
