  • Must be located to teach in person at the Evansville, Indiana campus.
  • Possess an earned master's degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution in information technology appropriate to the program.
  • Possess an earned related or out-of-field master's degree from a regionally accredited institution with documentation in two or more of the following: professional certification in the field; two years of in-field professional employment; documented evidence of information technology teaching excellence including the date of award; documentation of research and publication in the field; or relevant additional information technology coursework beyond the bachelor's degree equivalent to 18 semester hours or equivalent subject matter coursework, continuing education units, vendor training, or military coursework.

Responsibilities
  • Perform all instructional duties necessary to teach and facilitate student learning in assigned classes.
  • Provide the syllabus appropriate to the courses being taught and follow syllabus content and requirements.
  • Maintain student attendance and grading records according to College policy and the Adjunct Handbook.
  • Submit requested information within established timelines.
  • Be available to students outside scheduled class time to answer questions and provide assistance.
  • Address student concerns and consult with the program coordinator when necessary to resolve issues.
  • Meet all scheduled classes of contracted courses.
  • Use technology such as Blackboard and PowerPoint as appropriate.
  • Notify the program or department chair in the event of an emergency absence.
  • Conduct all activities with appreciation and respect for diversity of people, styles, and views, and promote the same as an integral part of the work.
Desired Qualifications
  • Previous experience as faculty in higher education.
  • A non-expired CompTIA A+ certification or higher information technology certification.
  • Professional certification in the information technology field.
  • Four years of professional employment in the information technology field.
  • Documentation of research and publication in the field.
  • Documented relevant additional coursework in information technology equivalent to 18 semester hours or equivalent subject matter coursework, continuing education units, vendor training, or military coursework.
  • K–12 teaching endorsement in an information technology-related pathway.
