Requirements
  • A J.D. and 2 – 5 years of relevant legal experience.
  • The ability to manage multiple business partner groups on a daily basis by appropriately prioritizing matters.
  • Clear and concise (but polite) communication skills.
  • An attention to detail even when under pressure.
  • The adaptability to adjust your legal counsel to business needs while knowing where and when to not compromise.
  • A willingness to learn and to take on increasing responsibilities as your skill-set grows.
  • A “team first” mentality.
  • Comfort primarily communicating with business partners through Slack.
Responsibilities
  • Review redlines to the company’s template non-disclosure agreements and contracts for the engagement of services and the purchase of physical goods.
  • Prepare redlines to third-party templates for the purchase of goods and services such as warehouse machinery, technical hardware, software services, and technology platforms.
  • Manage the company’s vendor insurance platform and related processes.
  • Manage the gathering of information for the company’s annual insurance applications.
  • Manage the gathering of materials in response to subpoenas.
  • Review advertising and marketing collateral, including corporate social media ads, influencer content, marketing emails, television commercials, podcast episodes, and website pages.
  • Counsel on advertising law compliance, including testimonials and endorsements, claim substantiation, digital disclosures, and consumer ratings & reviews.
  • Draft rules for the company’s sweepstakes, contests, and promotions.
  • Assist the department’s senior attorneys with counseling on consumer protection, privacy and information security, compliance, corporate governance, and litigation matters, as needed.
