Requirements
  • At least 2 years of experience as a licensed Radiologic Technologist, or 0+ years with ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT licensure.
  • Completion of an accredited radiologic technology or MRI program.
  • Completion of required continuing education units to maintain certification and licensure.
  • ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification is required upon hire.
  • Technologists cross-training into magnetic resonance must obtain ARRT (MR) within 12 months of accepting the position.
  • Venipuncture certification is required.
  • Basic Life Support certification is required.
  • Ability to assess, treat, and care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
  • Ability to stand for the majority of the shift and frequently lift up to 35 pounds, with work involving sitting, kneeling, climbing, and squatting.
Responsibilities
  • Perform routine magnetic resonance imaging examinations while ensuring accurate positioning and protocol compliance.
  • Provide patient care consistent with magnetic resonance imaging safety and comfort standards.
  • Screen patients and staff for magnetic resonance imaging safety in accordance with departmental policy.
  • Enforce Zone safety compliance.
  • Develop proficiency with magnetic resonance imaging workflow, scanner operation, and contrast administration.
  • Demonstrate and maintain competency in all assigned equipment and procedures at this level.
