Requirements
  • The candidate must have 15 years of technical expertise related to cyber engineering and cyberspace test and evaluation.
  • The candidate must have 10 years of experience in project management.
  • The candidate must have 10 years of experience supporting the analysis, assessment, demonstration, testing, and experimentation of cyber capabilities.
  • The candidate must hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, information technology, cybersecurity, or a related science or engineering field.
  • The candidate must hold at least one of the following certifications: Certified Information Systems Security Professional, Certified Information Security Manager, Certified Information Systems Auditor, CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner, Offensive Security Certified Professional, Global Information Assurance Certifications, or Certified Cloud Security Professional.
  • The candidate must have demonstrated participation in the research, development, integration, and testing of innovative technologies for offensive and defensive cyber.
  • The candidate must have 10 years of experience evaluating and validating sensor system performance, effectiveness, and operational feasibility.
  • The candidate must have demonstrated experience recommending assessments to determine system performance in relation to risks.
  • The candidate must be a United States citizen and hold a current Top Secret clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information access and Special Access Program eligibility.
  • The candidate must meet United States government security investigation eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
  • The candidate must demonstrate communication skills adaptable to technical and administrative audiences.
  • The candidate must demonstrate attention to detail.
Responsibilities
  • Serve as the Information System Security Manager and act as a technical advisor to Authorizing Officials, maintaining the overall security posture of systems and implementing Department of Defense Instruction 8510.01.
  • Support implementation of the Risk Management Framework.
  • Develop and maintain a formal information systems security program and policies for the assigned area of responsibility.
  • Support system and application assessment and authorization efforts by assessing and guiding the quality and completeness of activities, tasks, and artifacts mandated by Department of Defense and Air Force policies.
  • Maintain and report information system and platform information technology assessment and authorization status and issues in accordance with Department of Defense Component guidance.
  • Ensure that cybersecurity inspections, tests, and reviews are synchronized and coordinated with affected parties and organizations.
  • Ensure implementation of information system security measures and procedures, including reporting incidents to the Authorizing Official and appropriate reporting chains and coordinating system-level responses to unauthorized disclosures.
  • Ensure handling of possible or actual data spills of classified information in information systems is conducted in accordance with Department of Defense regulations.
  • Act as the primary cybersecurity technical advisor to the Authorizing Official for Department of Defense information systems and platform information technology systems under the role's purview.
  • Ensure that cybersecurity-related events or configuration changes that may affect authorization or security posture are formally reported to the Authorizing Official and other affected parties.
  • Ensure secure configuration and approval of information technology below the system level, including products and information technology services, before acceptance into or connection to a Department of Defense information system or platform information technology system.
  • Author, review, certify, and maintain information assurance and security management plans, including Risk Management Framework implementation plans, system security management plans, information support plans, program protection plans, security risk analyses, security vulnerability and countermeasure analyses, security concepts of operations, operations security plans, and other system and network security documents.
