Regeneron beats Q3 estimates with $5.12B revenue as analysts probe CIDEB and cemdisiran

Regeneron beat Wall Street expectations in its third quarter, with revenue of $5.12 billion against analyst estimates of $4.60 billion. Revenue rose 36.3% year on year, while adjusted earnings per share came in at $20.07, versus an expected $16.25. Operating margin reached 40%, up from 27.3% a year earlier. DUPIXENT, EYLEA HD, and LIBTAYO all hit record sales, and the expanded Sanofi collaboration also helped. Analysts asked about the CIDEB obesity-related programme, the planned launch of cemdisiran, and possible expansion of the Sanofi alliance to oral STAT6 inhibitors. Chief executive officer Leonard Schleifer said injectables dosed quarterly or twice a year may beat daily pills on convenience and efficacy. Regeneron's market value is $93.11 billion. Its shares trade at $928, up from $818.77 before earnings.

Regeneron (NASDAQ: REGN) revenue jumps 36% on a bigger Sanofi profit share.

Regeneron (NASDAQ: REGN) revenue jumps 36% on a bigger Sanofi profit share. What happened. Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (NASDAQ: REGN) reported third-quarter revenue of $5.1 billion, up 36% from a year earlier, as its Sanofi profit share grew. By OptimistFi's calculation, Sanofi collaboration revenue supplied $1.11 billion of the $1.36 billion increase, or 81.3%. Profits from Dupixent, which Sanofi sells, did most of the lifting. Adjusted earnings rose faster than sales. Non-GAAP earnings per share jumped 70% to $20.07 from $11.83. GAAP diluted EPS rose 35% to $18.45 from $13.62. The gap comes from securities gains. GAAP other income, net fell to $246.5 million from $755.8 million, mainly on lower net gains on marketable and other securities. Those gains were $60.3 million this quarter against $577.7 million a year earlier. Non-GAAP results exclude them. Key numbers. | Metric | Latest | Change | Source | | Total revenues, Q3 | $5.12 billion | from $3.75 billion, +36% | SEC 8-K Exhibit 99.1 | | Non-GAAP diluted EPS, Q3 | $20.07 | from $11.83, +70% | SEC 8-K Exhibit 99.1 | | Sanofi collaboration revenue, Q3 | $2.72 billion | from $1.62 billion, +68% | SEC 8-K Exhibit 99.1 | | EYLEA HD U.S. net sales, Q3 | $699 million | from $431 million, +62% | SEC 8-K Exhibit 99.1 | | Free cash flow, nine months | $2.90 billion | from $3.16 billion, -8.0% | Calculated from SEC 8-K | Where the growth came from. Regeneron's share of Sanofi antibody profits was $2.57 billion, up from $1.46 billion. The company said higher Dupixent sales drove most of the increase. Those sales rose 35% to $6.5 billion. A second factor is the end of a drag on that revenue. The Sanofi Development Balance was fully repaid as of the end of the second quarter. It no longer reduced Sanofi collaboration revenue from the third quarter on. Chief Financial Officer Christopher Fenimore called the step-up anticipated. Regeneron's own product sales grew more slowly, up 14% to $1.81 billion from $1.59 billion. EYLEA HD U.S. sales rose 62% to $699 million on higher volumes, partly offset by a lower net selling price. Libtayo global sales rose 51% to $550 million, with the U.S. up 81% to $396 million. The older EYLEA moved the other way. U.S. sales fell 41% to $400 million. The company blamed competitive pressures and the move of patients to EYLEA HD. Combined U.S. sales of the two EYLEA products slipped 1% to $1.10 billion. Bayer collaboration revenue, which includes ex-U.S. EYLEA profit share, fell 23% to $267 million. Why it matters. OptimistFi has argued that Regeneron turns a few high-margin biologics and partner profit-sharing into durable cash flow. The quarter supports the earnings half of that view. Income from operations rose 99.5% to $2.05 billion from $1.03 billion. R&D spending rose 22% to $1.8 billion. GAAP gross margin on net product sales held at 82%. Cash flow is the weaker half. For the nine months ended Sept. 30, free cash flow fell 8.0% to $2.90 billion from $3.16 billion. Operating cash flow slipped to $3.68 billion from $3.81 billion. Capital expenditures rose to $771.0 million from $649.7 million. Free cash flow is a non-GAAP measure. Accounts receivable rose to $7.58 billion from $5.74 billion at Dec. 31. Concentration is the other caveat. Most of the revenue gain runs through one Sanofi-sold product. The EYLEA franchise in the U.S. is no longer growing. The Sanofi expansion and updated guidance. In October, Regeneron and Sanofi amended their antibody collaboration to add four Regeneron-invented, long-acting antibodies designed to build on Dupixent. Regeneron received $1.0 billion up front, to be recognized as collaboration revenue in the fourth quarter. It can receive up to $7.0 billion more if development, regulatory and sales milestones are met. The companies will share costs and any future profits equally. Regeneron raised its full-year margin outlook. It now expects GAAP gross margin on net product sales of about 80%, up from 78% to 79%. It expects a non-GAAP margin of about 86%, up from 84% to 85%. GAAP R&D guidance rose by $100 million at both ends of the range. GAAP SG&A guidance fell by $100 million at both ends. The guidance does not assume any business development deal that was not complete when the press release came out. Regeneron also repurchased $2.3 billion of stock in the nine months, with $2.2 billion left under its programs. What's next. The nearest test is the FDA decision for cemdisiran in generalized myasthenia gravis, expected next month. An approval would add to the pipeline side of the case. A delay or rejection would weaken it. Regeneron also plans to present CIDEB RNAi interim results at the AASLD meeting and baloncibart POTS results at the AAS meeting, both in November 2026. Ordspono has an FDA target action date in February 2027, and the Libtayo supplemental application has one in March 2027. The $0.94 dividend is payable Dec. 3 to holders of record Nov. 20. Fourth-quarter results will carry the Sanofi up-front payment as collaboration revenue, according to the filing. From optimistfi perps. What Regeneron Pharmaceuticals (REGN) said on its Q3 earnings call.

What Regeneron Pharmaceuticals (REGN) said on its Q3 earnings call. Regeneron Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ:REGN) reported third-quarter 2026 revenue growth of 36% year over year to $5.1 billion, while non-GAAP diluted earnings per share rose 70% to $20.07. The company attributed the performance to increased Sanofi collaboration revenue and continued growth from DUPIXENT, EYLEA HD and LIBTAYO. "This marks our third consecutive quarter of double-digit growth on both the top and bottom lines," Chief Executive Officer Leonard Schleifer said during the company's earnings call. Commercial brands reach quarterly records. DUPIXENT, which Regeneron markets through its collaboration with Sanofi, recorded worldwide net sales of more than $6.5 billion in the quarter, up 35% at constant currency, according to Sanofi-reported figures. U.S. sales increased 40% to $5.1 billion, supported by demand across its approved indications and favorable gross-to-net adjustments. Marion McCourt, Regeneron's executive vice president of commercial, said more than 1.5 million patients worldwide are currently being treated with DUPIXENT. The medicine is approved across nine type 2 inflammatory diseases, including atopic dermatitis, asthma, nasal polyps, eosinophilic esophagitis, COPD and chronic spontaneous urticaria. Regeneron's U.S. retinal franchise, combining EYLEA HD and EYLEA, generated $1.1 billion in net sales, down 1% from a year earlier. EYLEA HD sales climbed 62% to $699 million and accounted for nearly two-thirds of the franchise's sales. Physician unit demand for EYLEA HD increased 20% sequentially. EYLEA U.S. net sales declined 41% to $400 million amid competition from aflibercept 2 mg biosimilars. For the fourth quarter, Regeneron expects EYLEA HD physician demand to grow by about 10% sequentially, while EYLEA demand is expected to decline by a low- to mid-teens percentage. The company continues to expect more than 50% full-year EYLEA HD sales growth versus 2025. LIBTAYO worldwide net sales rose 51% at constant currency to $550 million, including U.S. sales of $396 million, up 81%. Schleifer said LIBTAYO is now on an annual run rate of about $2.2 billion. The company said it remains the leading immunotherapy in U.S. non-melanoma skin cancers and the second most prescribed immunotherapy in non-small cell lung cancer. Pipeline milestones include C5, MASH and oncology programs. Regeneron expects an FDA decision in November for cemdisiran, its C5 siRNA candidate for generalized myasthenia gravis. If approved, the company said cemdisiran would be the first siRNA therapy for the condition and would offer quarterly subcutaneous dosing. McCourt said the company's neurology commercial team is launch-ready, though she did not provide further details on launch strategy. The company also expects pivotal results by year-end for its cemdisiran and pozelimab combination in paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria. George Yancopoulos, Regeneron's chief scientific officer, said lead-in cohort findings from the Phase III program suggested the combination could provide strong control of intravascular hemolysis. In metabolic disease, Regeneron plans to present initial first-in-human data for its CIDEB-targeting siRNA at The Liver Meeting in November. In 40 participants, a single dose was well tolerated and reduced liver fat by approximately 70% on average from baseline after 12 weeks, according to Yancopoulos. The effect lasted through 24 weeks of follow-up and was accompanied by improvements in liver enzymes. The company said it is advancing the CIDEB program toward registrational studies for MASH. Yancopoulos characterized the target as genetically validated through the company's Regeneron Genetics Center research, which linked loss-of-function CIDEB variants to reduced risk of fatty liver disease and cirrhosis. Regeneron also plans to begin a potentially registrational study of baloncibart for postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome, or POTS, in the first half of 2027, pending regulatory feedback. The company said Phase II results showed sustained improvements in tachycardia and orthostatic symptoms over four weeks after a single high dose. In oncology, Regeneron reported that ubamatamab, a MUC16xCD3 bispecific antibody, showed an approximately 70% objective response rate in advanced low-grade serous ovarian cancer. The company is enrolling a potentially registrational cohort and plans to begin a confirmatory Phase III study in mid-2027. Sanofi alliance and investment outlook. Third-quarter Sanofi collaboration revenue reached $2.7 billion, including $2.6 billion from Regeneron's share of collaboration profits. Profit-sharing revenue increased 77% from the prior year, aided by DUPIXENT growth and completion of repayment of the Sanofi development balance in the second quarter. Under an expanded alliance, Regeneron and Sanofi will share development and commercialization costs equally for four next-generation long-acting antibodies aimed at type 2 inflammation. Global profits from those candidates will also be shared equally. Regeneron expects to recognize a $1 billion upfront payment from Sanofi as collaboration revenue in the fourth quarter. The company generated $2.9 billion in free cash flow during the first nine months of 2026 and ended the quarter with $16.2 billion in cash and marketable securities, net of debt. It deployed nearly $3 billion during the period across share repurchases, business development and dividends, including $2.3 billion to repurchase 3.2 million shares. Chief Financial Officer Chris Fenimore said Regeneron expects full-year share repurchases of approximately $3 billion. Looking to 2027, the company expects research and development expense to rise by a mid-teens percentage as it advances registrational programs in myeloma, anticoagulation, obesity, POTS and MASH. Regeneron said it is on pace to initiate more than 15 Phase III trials in 2026. About Regeneron Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ:REGN). Regeneron Q3 revenue jumps 36% to $5.1B as Dupixent and Eylea HD sales surge

Regeneron reported third-quarter 2026 revenue of $5.1 billion, up 36% year over year, on an earnings call on October 30, 2026. Growth came from blockbuster drugs and the company's in-house genetics research engine. Sanofi reported record global Dupixent sales of $6.5 billion, up 35% at constant currency. Regeneron also extended its alliance with Sanofi to co-fund next-generation therapies. US sales of EYLEA HD, a high-dose eye treatment, reached $699 million, up 62%. The drug is offsetting weaker demand for the original formulation. In early data from 40 participants, a gene-silencing therapy for a liver disease cut liver fat by about 70% on average in 12 weeks. Regeneron plans to raise research spending by a mid-teens percentage in 2027 to fund 15 late-stage trials.
