Position Description

As a Host/Hostess, you will be responsible for providing a warm and welcoming environment for our guests. You will greet guests, seat them, take reservations, and answer questions about the restaurant. Your main goal is to ensure that our guests have an enjoyable dining experience from the moment they enter the restaurant until the moment they leave.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

1. Greet guests as they arrive at the restaurant.
2. Answer any questions guests may have about the restaurant or the menu.
3. Seat guests and escort them to their table.
4. Provide menus to guests and explain any specials or promotions.
5. Take reservations over the phone or in-person.
6. Maintain a clean and organized lobby area.
7. Monitor the waitlist and seating availability.
8. Communicate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely service.
9. Handle any guest complaints or concerns.
10. Thank guests as they leave and invite them back.
11.  Refer any guest issues, problems or seating situations to the manager on duty to handle with the customer. 

Requirements

1. Excellent communication and customer service skills.
2. Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
3. Friendly and outgoing personality.
4. Attention to detail and ability to maintain a clean and organized lobby area.
5. Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 25 pounds.
6. Ability to work evenings, weekends, weekdays, and holidays.
7. Previous experience in a restaurant or customer service role preferred.
