- An Associate’s degree in engineering or equivalent with a minimum of two years of project management, equipment, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning, or related experience; or a minimum of four years of project management, equipment, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning, or related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Familiarity with heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems and temperature equipment.
- Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills, a proactive approach, and willingness to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proven experience prioritizing tasks to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
- Validate project scope, list deviations, and optimize assigned projects.
- Generate project submittals and answer technical support questions from engineers and contractors.
- Communicate with customers and their representatives, including building owners, mechanical contractors, other trades, subcontractors, and field support staff.
- Maintain customer satisfaction by investigating concerns, implementing corrective action, and communicating with customers and assigned staff.
- Compare estimated ship dates with contractors’ project schedules and ensure compliance with internal equipment-ordering processes.
- Maintain the accuracy of forecasted cost at completion and control expenses by monitoring the assigned project budget.
- Enter equipment orders, issue purchase orders, and generate work orders for equipment start-ups.
- Use necessary computer programs and selection software, including Worksight, Trane Select Assist, and vendor selection software or websites.
- Familiarity with heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems and temperature equipment.

Trane launches electrified HVAC solutions for US buildings. By Refindustry - September 17, 2026 - 2 min Trane has introduced new HVAC solutions aimed at improving energy efficiency, expanding electrified heating options and simplifying system modernization in commercial buildings in the US. The additions include the Agility Twinplex Magnetic Bearing Centrifugal Chiller, IntelliPak 1 Rooftop Heat Pump Units and enhanced Axiom Vertical Stack Water Source Heat Pumps. The Agility Twinplex Magnetic Bearing Centrifugal Chiller (Model HDTA) is now available in capacities up to 800 tons (approx. 2,813 kW). Its Twinplex configuration uses dual compressors, while bolt-together construction and a narrow footprint are designed to simplify installation in new and existing buildings. The chiller exceeds ASHRAE 90.1-2022 efficiency requirements, features Rapid Restart capability and uses lower-GWP R-513A refrigerant. Harmonic filters and thermal energy storage are available as options. The IntelliPak 1 Rooftop Heat Pump Units are available from 30 to 60 tons (approx. 105 to 211 kW). Designed to match the footprint of legacy IntelliPak 1 units, they can eliminate the need for curb adaptors during replacement projects. The units use variable-speed eFlex compressors and fans and offer auxiliary modulating SCR electric heat and hybrid dual-fuel heating capabilities, along with connected controls and diagnostics. Trane has also enhanced its Axiom Vertical Stack Water Source Heat Pumps for multi-story buildings. The updates include a factory-installed energy recovery ventilator option for preconditioning incoming outdoor air and a shorter 65-inch (approx. 1.65 m) cabinet for tighter spaces. The updated chassis remains backwards compatible with legacy units to simplify replacements. Heart Math Tutoring receives $120,000 grant from the Trane Technologies Foundation. September 10, 2026. The funding will sustain one-on-one, volunteer-delivered tutoring to Charlotte elementary students at high-need schools. CHARLOTTE, N.C. (September 10, 2026) - Heart Math Tutoring (HMT), a Charlotte-based non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing math proficiency and academic confidence among elementary students, announced today that Trane Technologies, a global climate innovator, has provided a $120,000 grant through its foundation to further HMT's impact in the 2026/27 school year. This funding adds to the Trane Technologies Foundation philanthropy in the previous school year and will continue to help sustain HMT's programming that provides elementary students with the foundational math skills and academic confidence needed for long-term success through one-on-one tutoring, delivered by volunteers. "Heart Math Tutoring is grateful to continue our partnership with Trane Technologies. This generous funding allows HMT to deepen the impact both our volunteers and our team have in schools, providing children in the Charlotte community with equitable education opportunities and important mentorship" said Glenda Mauck, HMT's Vice President of Development. In response, Heart Math Tutoring recruits, trains, and supports volunteers as tutors in high-need CMS elementary schools, at no cost to students' families. Over 1,000 Charlotte community members, including Trane Technologies employees, spend one hour each week delivering Heart Math Tutoring's activity-based, structured curriculum. With the support of partners like Trane Technologies, Heart Math Tutoring has grown since its establishment in 2013 to serve 1,000+ students across 26 Charlotte schools. In the 2025/26 school year, 97 percent of first through fifth grade students who finished Heart's program met growth goals in math, growing in two or more building block concept areas, and over 90 percent of teachers consistently report an increase in student confidence and enthusiasm toward math as a result of Heart Math Tutoring. Trane Technologies acquires Thermo King Midwest in US. By Refindustry - September 09, 2026 - 2 min Trane Technologies and its Thermo King brand have completed the acquisition of Thermo King Midwest, a Top 10 Thermo King dealer in North America. The transaction expands Thermo King's company-owned dealer network and its service presence across the US Midwest. Thermo King Midwest has been an exclusive Thermo King equipment dealer for nearly 70 years. It provides sales, installation and after-sales service for refrigeration units and accessories, as well as maintenance contracts and telematics solutions. The dealership has approximately 150 employees across nine full-service locations in Indiana, Missouri and Ohio. It will join Trane Technologies' Thermo King business in the Americas, continue serving its existing markets and operate as a company-owned dealership. The acquisition makes Thermo King Midwest the second company-owned Thermo King dealership in the Americas.
