Arabic Linguist

Summary
CTC Group is seeking cleared Arabic Linguists to support mission-focused language support requirements. This role is ideal for experienced Arabic linguists who can provide high-quality translation, consecutive interpretation, transcription, and related language services in a fast-paced mission environment.
Location: CONUS-Washington Metropolitan Area

Responsibilities

• Translate Arabic-language materials into English with strong attention to accuracy, grammar, writing quality, slang, and dialect.
• Perform consecutive interpretation between Arabic and English in small team meetings and conference-type settings.
• Transcribe Arabic-language material into English.
• Apply knowledge of Arabic dialects, jargon, and vocabulary across technical, political, and military subject areas.
• Support editing, quality control, summarizing/gisting, terminology management, triage, workflow, writing reports, and other translation-related services.
• Provide subject matter expertise in support of mission requirements.
• Work effectively in a fast-paced environment requiring flexibility, accuracy, professionalism, and strong teamwork.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI with polygraph security clearance.
• Minimum of 3+ years of relevant language support experience.
• Bachelor’s degree desired.
• Must successfully complete the customer Arabic translation test.
• Experience with Arabic-to-English translation, consecutive interpretation, and transcription into English.
• Strong Arabic and English grammar and writing skills.
• Experience understanding and working with Arabic slang, dialects, and jargon.
• Saudi Arabic dialect experience is strongly preferred.
• Required experience with editing, quality control, subject matter expertise, summarizing/gisting, terminology management, translation-related services, triage, writing reports, and workflow support.
• Required area of expertise includes sponsor operations.
• Desired experience includes language training, monitoring, cyber, economics, legal / law, and science and technology.
• Must be willing to relocate to or reside in the Washington Metropolitan Area.

Pay Information
The final salary may be influenced by various factors, such as location, labor categories, experience, education, and/or certifications. CTC also provides a variety of benefits as well as opportunities for continuous education and development. 
The estimated salary range for this position is $190,000 - $210,000.
