Truist Financial agreed to sell about $7.7 billion of unsecured consumer loans from its LightStream platform to Carlyle Group, the Charlotte-based bank said alongside its third-quarter results. Nidec Components, established in 1967 as Copal Electronics, became a wholly owned subsidiary in 2014. The company manufactures pressure sensors, switches, torque sensors, and encoders for industrial equipment markets, holding a top global share in the polygon mirror market. Nidec concluded that transferring the subsidiary to Carlyle would enhance corporate value whilst allowing Nidec to focus resources on priority growth areas.
