Upshop provides a subscription-based software platform for grocery stores and supermarkets to optimize fresh food operations. It integrates tools for smarter ordering, inventory management, and demand forecasting to help retailers keep produce, dairy, meat, and bakery items well-stocked while reducing waste. How it works: retailers pay a regular fee to access Upshop’s platform, which coordinates ordering, tracks inventory levels, and analyzes demand to predict how much product to buy and when to reorder. Premium features or customized options may add to the base price. How it stands out: Upshop targets the fresh food segment and large retail chains, aiming to improve availability and profitability specifically for perishable items, which can be more challenging to manage than other groceries. Goal: help retailers increase sales and improve margins by delivering fresher products to customers with less waste and lower costs.

Upshop Partners with Toast to Bring Hardware-Agnostic Labeling and Scale Integration to Grocery and Deli Retailers

Upshop partners with Toast to bring hardware-agnostic labeling and scale integration to grocery and deli retailers. AUSTIN, Texas-(BUSINESS WIRE)-Upshop Inc., a leader in connected store solutions for grocery and food retail, today announced an integration with Toast, the all-in-one digital platform built for hospitality, as Toast continues to expand its retail capabilities, including into grocery and fresh food markets. This integration will offer a labeling, scaling and printing solution that can help simplify fresh item management and enhance operational flexibility across independent and regional grocery chains. "Grocery operators need flexibility, not barriers, when it comes to their in-store technology," said Chris Renda, Chief Revenue Officer at Upshop. Share The collaboration combines Upshop's hardware-agnostic label and scale management technology with Toast's point-of-sale and back-office platform and can help provide a key differentiator that allows grocers to connect to 100s of scale or label printer models, avoiding the hardware lock-ins common with proprietary systems. Implementation and ongoing service for the joint solution will be provided by Truno, a technology partner for both organizations. "Grocery operators need flexibility, not barriers, when it comes to their in-store technology," said Chris Renda, Chief Revenue Officer at Upshop.
