About the job
- A combination of education and experience in computer networking or a related field is required.
- Working knowledge of Windows Server, Cisco voice, data, and wireless systems, virtualization software, and backup is required.
- Thorough knowledge of network communication concepts, including network topology, communication and data transfer protocols, hubs, switches, routers, servers, and cabling, is required.
- Ability to create and maintain diagrammatic representations of network configurations is required.
- Experience with Level 1 and 2 support tickets and serving as the main point of contact for requests is required.
- Customer service experience is required.
- Participate in planning, designing, and implementing all aspects of the client computer network.
- Recommend, plan, develop, and implement network configuration changes or upgrades to maintain appropriate service levels for the user community.
- Analyze, identify, and resolve communication problems between servers, workstations, PCs, and the Internet.
- Operate network-system control consoles to monitor performance, resolve problems, and upgrade systems.
- Develop and monitor Local Area Network and Wide Area Network performance and utilization statistics, and prepare periodic reports for management summarizing network status.
- Configure ISE for wireless access using MAB and Central WebAuth.
- Manage and upgrade Cisco IP phones.
- Deploy wireless access points throughout the district and manage the wireless infrastructure and airspace.
- Deploy multi-factor authentication through Cisco Duo for multiple applications.
- Manage content filtering and security using Cisco Umbrella, AMP, Firepower, and ISE.
- Experience with JAMF and Apple/Mac systems is desired.
- Experience with O365, Active Directory, SAN, SCCM, and Google Admin is highly desired.
